 The government has launched a new programme for farmers, and the Union Agriculture Minister made this significant news


The Kisan Credit Card programme, which offers loans up to Rs. 3 lakh, will be reinstituted by the national government. The minister reportedly added that the PM Crop Insurance Scheme has distributed around Rs. 1.41 lakh crore for a total premium of Rs. 29,000 crore.

Narendra Singh Tomar, the union's minister of agriculture, has made a significant declaration in this regard. The Agriculture Minister stated that the government will spend roughly Rs 20,000 crore on KCC loans during the opening of the Kisan Rin Portal and door-to-door KCC (Kisan Credit Card) campaign.

Please be informed that the "Kisan Rin Portal" has been established in order to provide subsidised loans using the Kisan Credit Card (KCC). The Weather Information Network Data System (WINDS) gateway manual and a door-to-door KCC campaign have also been launched. The Kisan RIN digital platform, according to the Agriculture Ministry, offers a thorough view of farmer data, loan disbursement details, interest subvention claims, and scheme utilisation status.


7.35 billion KCC accounts:


According to a statement, there are around 7.35 crore KCC accounts as of March 30. The maximum loan amount currently authorised on these accounts is Rs 8.85 lakh crore.


Data indicates that between April and August of the current fiscal year, the government disbursed agricultural loans totaling Rs 6,573.50 crore at preferential interest rates. The Central Government will now use PM-Kisan data to target those farmers who do not yet have a Kisan Credit Card in order to increase the benefits of this card.


With this government programme, it will be simpler to connect with the farmers who do not yet have a Kisan Credit Card. Farmers can access low-interest borrowing facilities through the Kisan Credit Card. The government is increasing the amount allotted for the Kisan Credit Card by almost 2.5 times. Farmers will gain immediate benefits as a result of this in the future.
