Take use of this HDFC Bank functionality to make UPI payments over the phone

With UPI 123Pay, anyone in India, regardless of phone kind, may easily make payments utilising a straightforward phone call without the need for internet connectivity or a smartphone.

On the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), a private sector lender named HDFC Bank on Wednesday unveiled three cutting-edge digital payment tools that will enable smooth interactions between its clients and merchants.

First, without the need for internet connectivity or a smartphone, UPI 123Pay enables anyone in India, regardless of phone kind, to easily make payments via a simple phone call.

A customer can easily reserve and pay for any service using an IVR (interactive voice response). For instance, HDFC Bank has given Indane Gas customers the ability to easily schedule and pay for their gas cylinders via a simple phone call, regardless of the type of phone they use. This is done without the need for internet connectivity or a smartphone.

The second goal of UPI Plug-In Service is to make UPI payments frictionless and smooth for customers, removing the need for them to switch between merchant and payment apps. Customers will experience smoother and quicker transactions when making purchases from participating retailers as a result of the change.

Thirdly, AutoPay on QR seeks to alter a variety of use cases, such as OTT platforms, audio subscriptions, newsletters, and other digital subscriptions, by enabling smooth recurring payments through UPI QR.

Subscriptions have been made simpler so that users may sign up for digital services for themselves, friends, and family with ease.

High-security requirements guarantee that consumer transactions are secure and safeguarded.

According to Parag Rao, Country Head of Payment Business, Consumer Finance, Technology, and Digital Banking at HDFC Bank, "These cutting-edge products represent the future of digital paymentsm+."
