Ranchi: On Saturday, the ED submitted its second supplemental charge sheet in the Rs 1000 crore illegal mining case in Sahibganj before the ED's special court in Ranchi. Three of Pankaj Mishra's close friends, including Tinkle Bhagat, Bhagwan Bhagat, and Krishna Kumar Saha, have been charged in this charge sheet.
In the first week of July, all three suspects were taken into custody. Pashupati Yadav, the father of Dahu Yadav, had already faced the first supplemental charge sheet from the ED on June 19. The Barhait assembly constituency's MLA representative is Pankaj Mishra.
The charge document from the ED reveals that the accused engaged in extensive illicit mining with Pankaj Mishra's assistance. More stone was frequently extracted from the lease. Pankaj Mishra also received its illicit money.

Tinkle Bhagat operated a mine without a permit
He resides at Sahibganj's Mirza Chowki. This is another one of Pankaj Mishra's unique colleagues. According to the ED's probe, Tinkle Bhagat had engaged in unauthorised mining in the Mundli Mauza of the Mandro block of Sahibganj on the orders of Pankaj Mishra. For the sale of the stones, he had given Pankaj Mishra between Rs. 40 and Rs. 45 lakh.
Saha mined more than 12.60 acres on a lease of 6.13 acres
Krishna Kumar Saha had given Pankaj Mishra Rs 30 lakh in cash in exchange for his assistance in Sahibganj's illicit stone mining and shipping. In addition to this, there were bank account transactions between the two. The bank accounts of his corporation, firm, or other affiliates had been managed by Krishna Kumar Saha.
He had deposited money from illicit mining totaling more than Rs 19 crore into his bank accounts. On March 26 and March 29, 2021, Saha made two transfers of Rs 5 lakh each to Pankaj Mishra's account. Saha's stone mine had a 6.13 acre lease, but he had already dug more than 12.60 acres.
God used to sell stones, and Pankaj Mishra received the money
Pankaj Mishra's second business partner is Bhagwan Bhagat. He resides in Sahibganj's Badharwa Ratanpur. Pankaj Mishra and his accomplices' offices were raided by ED on July 8 of last year, during which ED was able to seize more than Rs 5 crore.
In addition, 28 lakh 50,000 rupees were found in Bhagwan Bhagat's hideaway. Numerous financial transactions between Pankaj Mishra and Bhagwan Bhagat have also been verified. About 20 stone rakes were reserved by Bhagwan Bhagat in Pankaj Mishra's name, and the proceeds from their sale were paid into Pankaj Mishra's account. Pankaj Mishra's account received 4.87 crores between October 29, 2021, and May 18, 2022.
