Illegal Mining Case in Sahibganj In the written complaint filed in the illegal mining case against 20 people, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren, at the Muffsil police station in Sahibganj, new information has come to light.

The petition submitted to the High Court and the ruling of the High Court both omitted any reference of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The complainants Anuranjan Ashok and Teerth Nath Akash have still included their names in the online FIR application.

What clamour did the petitioner make?

The State Government, the Chief Secretary, the Home Secretary, SP Sahibganj, the Mines Secretary, the Mines Director, DMO Sahibganj, the CBI Director, the Income Tax Director, Pankaj Mishra, and Dahu Yadav were all named as parties in the plea that was filed with the High Court by the complainant. He demanded proof that Pankaj Mishra and Dahu Yadav had perpetrated a multi-million dollar mining fraud together. The CBI should look at the situation as a whole.

What decision did the Jharkhand High Court make?

In 2021, this petition was submitted. On April 27, the High Court issued orders in this regard and put the petition into effect.

A CBI investigation into Pankaj Mishra and Rahul Yadav's participation in the unlawful mining case was sought by the complainant, however no FIR was filed with any police station in accordance with the Indian Penal Code.

The petition had been dismissed by the High Court with the directive that the complainant file a FIR right away. Take additional action if the local police station determines that the situation warrants investigation.

The complainant submitted a FIR online

The complainant filed an online complaint at the Muffsil police station in Sahibganj on September 3 in response to this court order. In his complaint, he said that since filing the petition in 2021, a great deal of new evidence has emerged on the unlawful mining issue, which he is updating in his application. He updated his complaint with the names of 20 more individuals, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
