Another significant decision made by the state cabinet is to boost the grant amount previously paid to institutions based on their NAAC grades. Previously, such institutions could only get a maximum of Rs 5 lakh per month. Now, they can receive a maximum of Rs 15 lakh per month.


The amount of help given to each institution will increase by twofold. According to the fixed grant, which was being applied to half the amount at the time, a quadruple amount will be made accessible.


Following the cabinet's decision, the representatives of these institutions greeted the chief minister and showered him with flowers at the Project Bhawan Secretariat. Another ruling authorised the payment of a total of 6 percent interest on the difference amount of unpaid pension from January 1, 2006, to March 31, 2010, to be made by all qualified retired instructors employed by the state's universities and constituent institutions.
