The 2 lakh square foot plant in Banur, close to Chandigarh, is where the 1-tonne smart vehicle is made. A year's worth of car production can reach 2,800.


The Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Exhibition (REEVE) - 2023 on Parade Ground in this city will feature smart electric trucks (electric light commercial vehicles) that can be charged in only 20 minutes and go 100 km on a single charge through Sunday.




The UT Adviser paid a visit to the show on Saturday and praised Inderveer Singh Panesar, an urban entrepreneur who launched the electric truck firm EVage.

Evage's creator and CEO, Inderveer Singh Panesar, said, "We are quite pleased that we have been able to produce a wholly 'Made in India' vehicle and that we are currently employing close to 150 people, mostly in high-end positions. In Tricity, 100 electric light commercial vehicles are now in use. In Tricity, I predict that during the next 12 months, 50% of deliveries will be made by electric light commercial vehicles.
