The 'India' coalition's' Upcoming Meeting: On August 31 and September 1, Mumbai is most likely to host the following gathering of the opposition party coalition. The opposition's two-day gathering will take place on August 31 and September 1. India's block conducted its first meeting in Patna in June and its second in Bengaluru last month.




In Delhi. The Indian National Developmental Inclusive coalition-I.N.D.I.A., a coalition of opposition parties, will likely meet again on August 31 and September 1 in Mumbai. It will be conducted similarly to the Bengaluru summit, where the leaders will have casual discussions on August 31 before their major gathering the next day. According to a source, the opposition gathering will take place on August 31 and September 1 and last for two days. whereby the dates will be approved by all the leaders. A news conference will be held the evening of September 1 at what may be a hotel in Powai. 


There were other such dates that were previously discussed but were unable to be discussed since none of the leaders were free on those days.


The Congress, the Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP, and the three members of the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition are working together to organise the third meeting of the opposition alliance. The meeting's agenda was being discussed by the MVA participants. Significantly, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also spoke with RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav about a range of topics, including how the opposition movement 'India' should proceed.


The 'India' block met for the first time in Patna in June, then again in Bengaluru last month. The opposition coalition is also expected to establish committees for tasks like the general election campaign in 2024 and boost communication between members prior to the polls.


According to sources, a joint secretariat will also be revealed soon to improve communication between the parties. The parties are expected to work out their disagreements as much as they can during the summit, especially in the states where they are engaged in a direct election contest.


After a nearly 4-hour conference of 26 parties in Bengaluru, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge revealed the name of the opposition coalition: Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance-India (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). He had stated that an additional 11-person committee will be formed for coordination, and that the coordinator would be chosen at the subsequent conference in Mumbai.


Importantly, the opposition alliance 'India' has 26 opposition parties - Congress, TMC, DMK, AAP, JD(U), RJD, JMM, NCP (Sharad Pawar), Shiv Sena (UBT), SP, NC, PDP, CPI (M), CPI, RLD, MDMK, Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK), VCK, RSP, CPI-ML (Liberation), Forward Bloc, IUML, Kerala Congress (Joseph), Kerala Congress (Mani), Apna Dal (Kamerwadi), and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK).
