The state should not compel the land-grabbing tribals to take an aggressive approach, said Bandhu Tirkey, a member of the Jharkhand nation's coordination committee and the working president of the State Congress Committee. According to Tirkey, Tribal Day is a very meaningful day for everyone, not only tribal people. The tribal link to water, forests, and land will be lost if the tribes today are unable to halt the plundering of their territory.
