Ranchi: CM Hemant Soren appeared in court defying an ED summons and charged the Centre with attempting to topple the state administration
Chief Minister Hemant Soren failed to appear on Thursday, despite receiving the ED's second summons. He informed the ED in a letter that he had challenged the ED's power before the Supreme Court through an employee of the CMO. He hasn't provided the ED with any paperwork, though, about the court-filed petition. The probability exists right now that the Chief Minister will shortly get a third summons from the ED.

Accused of working on the Center's instructions
The Chief Minister claimed in a letter to the ED that she is carrying out orders from the Central Government. ED is working to topple the democratically elected state administration by issuing summonses.

The Chief Minister, who was speaking directly to the ED, said that the ED had previously attempted to link him to the illegal mining case and was now attempting to do so with the land fraud. He also provided the ED with information on all of his moveable and immovable assets.
