Jharkhand Police: State Bank would give free accident insurance worth 50 lakhs as a big gift to the state's police officers

Ranchi: State Bank of India will offer free personal accident insurance up to Rs. 50 lakh to all account holders who work for the Jharkhand Police as part of their compensation package.




Jharkhand Police and SBI signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this respect on Monday at the auditorium of Police Headquarters. The MoU was signed in the presence of the DGP by Dr. Shams Tabrez, DIG Budget for the Jharkhand Police, and Devesh Mittal, DGM for the Ranchi Zonal Office of SBI.


On behalf of Police Headquarters, the ADG Headquarters Murari Lal Meena, the ADG Operations Dr. Sanjay Anandrao Lathkar, the IG Headquarters Manoj Kaushik, the IG Human Rights Akhilesh Jha, the IG Operations Amol Vinukant Homkar, the IG Provision Prabhat Kumar, and the DIG Personnel Anupu Vijaya Lakshmi signed the MoU. Dr. Shams Tabrez, DIG Budget, the Jharkhand Police Association,


Shiv Om Dixit, Chief General Manager of SBI Patna Circle, Jharkhand Police Men's Association, Jharkhand Class IV Employees Association, Prabhas Bose, General Manager of SBI Ranchi Zonal Office, Devesh Mittal, Alok Ranjan, and Vikas Kumar Pandey, Regional Manager, were in attendance.


These amenities will be provided to the state's 80,000 police officers


50 lakhs in the event of either death or complete disability.

30 lakhs for a one crore rupee permanent partial impairment resulting from the plane tragedy.


If a person dies in a personal accident, they will be given Rs. 10 lakh for their dependent children's further education and Rs. 10 lakh for the marriage of unmarried females.

Dependents of individuals slain in Naxal violence and ambushes by militants or criminals would receive an additional Rs 10 lakh.

All police officers will have access to the Rupay Platinum Card thanks to SBI. In the event of death due to an accident or other circumstance, an extra insurance coverage of Rs. 10 lakh will be made available.
