Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court's Justice Rajesh Kumar has fined CCL one lakh rupees for failing to provide a reply despite many requests. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for August 23 by the court. The issue is CCL's shading being lifted.

CCL was given many opportunities throughout the hearing to comment, but no reply was submitted on their behalf.

There was a deal for 5,000 metric tonnes

The court is upset by this and has ordered a deposit of Rs. 1 lakh as compensation. On behalf of Bharat Coal Products, a plea has been submitted in this respect before the High Court.

Attorney Archana Singh informed the court during the hearing that an arrangement had been reached with the firm to extract 5,000 metric tonnes of sorghum per month from CCL's Bermo Colliery. Previously, the business would pay upfront for this.

CCL had also offered property in the colliery on a rental basis when a petition for non-hearing was submitted, but in 2014 the company issued a regulation that said it would now have to lift the sludge through tender.

The company's 51,000 metric tonnes of shadow, which are now being stored at CCL notwithstanding the cancellation of the previous agreements, was not permitted to be lifted. The corporation has filed a plea before the High Court after CCL did not hear its case.
