According to the source, a migrant couple was killed in a significant landslip in the Shimla village of Shol (Baldeyan) and was buried under the rubble. Near the village's land slide site, SHO Dhali, in-charge PP Mashobra, and the police squad discovered the remains of a husband and woman. At the contractor's building site, the pair was a labouring team. According to the police, both were Gumla, Jharkhand, residents.

A red alert has been issued for Wednesday in Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla Bilaspur, Mandi, Hamirpur, and Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, according to the Shimla Centre of the Meteorological Department. On Thursday, there will be an orange warning in seven districts across the state. Maximum precipitation of 213 mm has been reported in Bilaspur over the last 12 hours. Following this, 132 mm of rain were recorded in Shimla. In one hour in the morning, 62 mm of rain were recorded in Shimla.
