Opium is being smuggled by using Hazaribagh as the hub for the Giddaur Pathalgadda of Chatra and the opium smugglers of Kanhachatti, in addition to Bundu and Khunti of Ranchi. Along with Chauparan, smugglers from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh haggle in the urban areas of Kanhari and Bada Bazar. On the advice of the SP, Headquarters DSP Rajeev Kumar apprehended two such smugglers.

Along with 2.5 kilos of opium, Rs 2.85 lakh in cash was also found on them during the inquiry. A Swift vehicle with the number plate DL 9 vehicle - 8916 and a motorbike with the Delhi number JH 01 CU - 5450 have also been confiscated by the police.


Deepak Kumar's family Kesho Dangi, of Dhouthwa, police station Katkamsandi Hazaribagh, and Budhram Munda's father Lebho Munda, of Gabrayya Tola, police station Dashamphal, district Ranchi, among the two smugglers who have been detained.


Mahesh Prajapati, the Sadar SDPO, explained this situation during a news conference and stated that the police had acted in response to SP's information.


Raid with 0% toleration

He also said that the Hazaribagh Police is pursuing traffickers of opium as part of its zero-tolerance policy. Based on the information from the investigation, the raids are being carried out.


A new bus stop was also set up nearby, according to information from the SP. In this sequence, a Swift automobile can be seen leaving the Hurhuru region and travelling along Ramnarayan Gali Road. Two and a half kilogrammes of opium and Rs 3.5 lakh were found inside the car after a check.


Opium imported from Bundu in Ranchi

Opium was transported from the Ranchi neighbourhood of Budu, according to intelligence. It was introduced by Budhram Munda. In the Bundu region, opium was purchased for one lakh rupees each kilogramme.


Kesho Dangi, a resident of Dhouthwa in Katkamsandi, had placed the opium delivery order. He is the father of Deepak Kumar. The buyer from UP was then required to give this opium.


Deepak had previously communicated

He was apprehended earlier. told that the price per kilogramme for opium will be between 7 and 8 lakh rupees. According to the information, Budhram grows opium in Budu, and Deepak has previously communicated with him.


The SDPO states that Deepak's criminal history is being investigated. It's possible that he has previously been arrested for opium-related crimes.


In Delhi-UP, there is a demand for this opium.

Information indicates that the opium grown in the Bundu Tamar region of Khunti and Ranchi is of higher grade. This explains why Delhi, UP, and Haryana have high demand for it.
