In the apartments being built under the Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur, an instance of corruption has come to light.

During a surprise inspection on Sunday, BJP spokesman and former MLA Kunal Shadangi revealed this. In actuality, 9592 apartments are being constructed for urban poor. There was a deadline set to open some of these apartments by Diwali.

Kunal, a former MLA, conducted an unexpected check

On Sunday, BJP spokesman Kunal Shadangi unexpectedly saw the apartments being built in Birsanagar as part of the PM Awas Yojana (Urban). Kunal Shadangi observed disruptions and inconsistencies in the flat's development at this time.

After that, the contractor was questioned after it was revealed that inferior black bricks were being utilised as building material.

According to a BJP official, putty or plaster of paris has been applied on the walls in place of plaster. The worried contractor made a significant error in his haste to finish the flat's construction.

Uncertain contractor's representative

On the other hand, when the contractor's representative at the building site was questioned about it, he responded that JUDCO (the Jharkhand Urban Development Corporation) had given him permission to work without plaster. The walls are not cracked, thus plastering is not being done.

Regarding this, Kunal questioned if Judco had given the sensor written consent for this. The contractor's representative responded by saying there isn't any formal authorization.

The JNAC (Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee) officer was then questioned by BJP spokesperson Kunal, who also urged conducting an investigation and refuting the contractor's representative's assertions. Furthermore, it was said that the contractor was acting arbitrarily and against BOQ and work order guidelines when carrying out the construction.

Kunal Shadangi approached the Deputy Commissioner with a complaint.

In such a circumstance, BJP spokesperson Kunal urged action while alerting Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, and Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri. Following an inquiry, Kunal stated that action should be done against individuals responsible for corruption in PM Narendra Modi's PM Awas Yojana.

The BJP spokeswoman stated that in addition to promptly adding the careless contractors to a blacklist, the standard of building work should also be reviewed. In addition, it has been requested that the Deputy Commissioner personally conduct a surprise inspection of the PM's house's construction so that individuals responsible for any anomalies can be held accountable.

Building 9592 apartments for urban poor

According to the affordable housing project G+8 framework, Jamshedpur will have 9592 dwellings built in 32 blocks. 7372 homes have already seen construction work begin on them. The official procedure of allotting homes to 3836 recipients in the first phase, 834 beneficiaries in the second phase, and 696 beneficiaries in the third phase has been finished.

The development of apartments is also underway in full force at the same time. The goal set by the local government was to return some of them home before Diwali.

The program's goal is for every disadvantaged person to own a home

This federal government programme aims to provide the urban poor with the homes they need. This programme, one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's grandiose plans, aims to give residences to the less fortunate.

The lottery winners who received houses frequently voiced their dissatisfaction with the building.
