Jharkhand News: Pramod Mishra alias Sohan alias Shukla alias Kanhaiya alias Jagan alias Noor Baba alias Agni alias Ban Bihari and two other accomplices were apprehended by Bihar Police along the Gaya-Aurangabad border. He is being questioned by Bihar Police in a covert location. Although senior Jharkhand Police personnel are aware of this operation, it is still being kept a secret.


The Jharkhand-Bihar border saw a strengthening of the Maoist movement.

Pramod Kumar Mishra was born and raised in the Bihar district of Aurangabad, in the Kasma village region of the Rafiganj police station. He has been employed in Saranda for a considerable amount of time. He was now concentrating the Maoists on Chhakarbandha, which is located on the border between Jharkhand and Bihar.


In 2004 Pramod Mishra joined the Naxalite organisation as a Central Committee member. In the year 2007, he was elected to the Politburo.


On May 11, 2008, he was taken into custody in the Dhanbad district's Vinod Nagar. Due to a lack of evidence, the court discharged him in 2017. He has resumed his local activity since then. He is regarded as the mastermind behind several massacres and assaults on the police.


There was a disagreement with Misir Besra Politburo member Prashant Bose, also known as Kishan Da, Manish, Budha, Nirbhay Mukherjee, Kajal, and Mahesh, who was detained by the Jharkhand Police on November 12, 2021. Along with him, his wife Sheela Marandi was also apprehended. Pramod Mishra was in the lead among the candidates for the position of Politburo member following Prashant Bose's incarceration.


The police planned to offer Pramod a one crore reward

Pramod Mishra aspired to lead the Maoist Eastern Regional Bureau as its leader. Misir Besra, a member of the Politburo, and Pramod Mishra fell out over this post.


Pramod Mishra was also supposed to be the target of a one crore rupee bounty from the Jharkhand Police. He had been arrested while the case was still being looked into. The Eastern Regional Bureau, which oversees Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, UP, Bengal, and other states in the North Eastern area, has its headquarters at Saranda.
