Scam at NTPC Jharkhand The ED has submitted an affidavit to the Jharkhand High Court in relation to the three thousand crore compensation scandal involving the NTPC's acquisition of land in Hazaribagh. Devvrat Jha, the assistant director of ED, stated in his statement that ED is prepared to look into the claim since, on the surface, it looks to be accurate.




Ranchi: The ED has submitted an affidavit in the Jharkhand High Court on the three thousand crore compensation scandal involving the NTPC's acquisition of property in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.


Devvrat Jha, the assistant director of ED, stated in his statement that ED is prepared to look into the claim since, on the surface, it looks to be accurate.


In this context, Mantu Soni has brought a High Court case in the public interest. The court had earlier in the hearing requested comments from the ED, CBI, and the state administration.


what the affidavit said

According to ED's affidavit, a SIT was established with Debasish Gupta as chairman to look into the NTPC land scandal. The results of their probe have never been made public.


An FIR was filed at the Keredari police station on the basis of a light worker's complaint, in which it is claimed that government property has been illegally occupied.


NTPC was duped in Hazaribagh by the falsification of official documents. The necessary actions for a preliminary investigation into this situation have been taken.


What was the situation?

Inform them that phoney documents were produced on a massive scale for various projects, including NTPC, for public-use government, non-public, and panchayat buildings, grounds, ponds, cremation grounds, cemeteries, etc.


Following this, the land mafia took compensation in collusion with NTPC officials and government personnel, for which the government established a SIT, but no action was done.
