Shamshad Ansari, a 45-year-old goat trader from the hamlet of Sikni, was killed by a mob on Tuesday due to allegations of cheating in Dulmi (Ramgarh). The Rajrappa police station cops arrived as soon as they received information about the event.




Shamshad was pulled out of the mob by police, who then took him to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital for medical attention. He was pronounced dead by the physicians following an examination. After the incident, there is unrest in the neighbourhood. The situation is being looked into by the police. On Tuesday night, Shamshad Ansari, the son of Asraf Ansari, a resident of Jario village, travelled to Sikni village in the Dulmi block of Ramgarh district.


He claimed to be in difficulty since he stole some cash from Haradhan Mahato. He then departed. Haradhan's son learned that Shamshad had cheated in order to keep him out of trouble when he spoke to assistant teacher Ramkumar Mahato. The townspeople then began looking for him. On the Sikni-Marangmarcha road, close to the railway bridge, he was discovered. He was bicycling.


The locals got off the bike and got into a brawl using sticks and rods. The group of 30 to 40 peasants was quite enraged. During the struggle, his clothing was ripped. He stripped off. Shamshad, according to family members, was robbed and abused.


Shamshad used to buy and sell goats and indigo. However, it was not until late at night that the deceased's family submitted a formal complaint to the police station. Inspector Harinandan Singh, the station's in charge, said that Shamshad passed away after a brawl with the locals. The situation is being looked at.
