Users won't be impacted unless their Google Account has been dormant for two years or longer or if they haven't used their account to access any Google services for longer than two years.

Beginning on December 1, 2023, any inactive account, together with its contents, may be deleted.

Before deleting accounts, Google will send a series of reminder emails to users and their specified recovery email addresses.

On Saturday, Google informed its sizable user base through email of an important change. The business raised the two-year threshold for Google Account inactivity across all of its goods and services.

The technological tsunami claims that starting on December 1, 2023, all dormant accounts and their information might be deleted.

Google will send a series of reminder emails to users and their specified recovery email addresses (if such recovery alternatives have been supplied) if an account is flagged as inactive. Prior to any action being taken, such as content deletion or account termination, these notices will be given out at least 8 months in advance.

Once a Google Account is deleted, the associated Gmail address cannot be recovered to start a new Google Account, as the firm has made clear.

The easiest method is to login in to the account at least once every two years to maintain a Google Account's active status.
