The state administration has authorised the Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct a PE (Preliminary Inquiry) into five former ministers. Amar Bauri, Randhir Kumar Singh, Dr. Neera Yadav, Lewis Marandi, and Neelkanth Singh Munda, who were ministers in the Raghuvar cabinet, will now be looked into for having disproportionate assets. It was determined that the accusations made against these ministers were accurate.




Ranchi: The state government has authorised the Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct a PE (Preliminary Inquiry) against five former ministers. Amar Bauri, Randhir Kumar Singh, Dr. Neera Yadav, Lewis Marandi, and Neelkanth Singh Munda, who were ministers in the Raghuvar cabinet, will now be looked into for having disproportionate assets.


It was determined that the accusations made against these ministers were accurate. The ACB had created a plan to conduct an investigation by registering a PE based on this.


Inside the cabinet, approval

Tuesday's State Council of Ministers meeting, which was presided over by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accepted the plan in question. Work on confidential verification against everyone has been finished. Along with this, a total of 29 ideas have received cabinet approval.


The Anti-Terrorist Squad in the state has been given the authority to look into cases of organised crime in all regions, broadening its scope.


The Jharkhand Competitive Examination (Measures for Prevention and Redress of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2023, was also allowed in another ruling.


10 years in jail for those who leak exam papers

A provision for imprisonment ranging from 10 years to a fine of one crore rupees has been created for individuals who leak question papers and engage in exam manipulation.


During the state cabinet meeting, several presents were distributed to the government workers. It has also been determined to offer health insurance coverage to employees of corporations, boards, and universities in addition to government employees and retired people.


They will get a health allowance of Rs 500, which will be added to the previous monthly payment of Rs 1000 and reduced by Rs 500. A health insurance policy will be purchased to pay Rs 6000 yearly.


Maternity benefits will also be provided to contract workers.

The health insurance provider will get payment for this amount. Along with this, the cabinet has also resolved to grant contract workers access to maternity benefits.


The workers are granted 120 days of leave under this. The worker must have worked for at least 90 days in order to qualify for this benefit, according to the rules.


On the other side, 29 employees in the Finance Department will have their employment status changed. For the past 10 years or more, these people have been employed under contract.


Children will be shown the Dishome Guru story

The primary level kids of the state government schools will get an illustrated book named Suno Children, Saga of Tribal Struggle Hero Shibu Soren (Guruji) as part of the Gyanodaya Yojana.


Additionally, on the basis of purchase and distribution nomination, books with the titles Dishome Guru Shibu Soren and Tribal Hero Shibu Soren were handed to M/s Prabhat Prakashan.


Free power for 5 units for tree planting

In accordance with the declaration made by the Chief Minister during the Van Mahotsav, the general public living in urban areas has been given consent for planting trees on their own land in their power bill at a rate of five units of electricity per tree beginning with the fiscal year 2023–24. There will be a cap of five trees that can receive this benefit.


There will be a single platform with water-related information

The creation of the Jharkhand State Water Informatics Centre has been approved on the recommendation of the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, with the goal of coordinating, collecting, and disseminating data related to the state's water resources and bringing the water data of all the departments under the state onto a single platform.


Federation arrived with percussion

The Jharkhand Officers Teachers Employees Federation warmly welcomed the Chief Minister and expressed their thanks for approving the proposal of the cabinet's approval of the instructions for how to apply for benefits under the previous pension plan.


On one side, there were several drums being played, while on the other, Abir-Gulal were soaring. The government workers were at the height of their energy and joy. The proposal for the rules governing how to take advantage of the previous pension system had been accepted by the cabinet.


The Chief Minister stated that the administration is entirely dedicated to making sure that government workers have the opportunity to work in an improved environment with complete dignity. We are working diligently in this regard to meet their justifiable requests so that they might more quickly advance the state by putting all of their effort into carrying out their duties.
