The Delhi residents enjoyed themselves a lot! This year's heat couldn't do much harm because June was the coolest in 15 years

Delhi weather reports People were greatly astonished by the summer weather (Weather News). But folks still had a great time despite the lovely weather. IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) figures show that June was the coldest month in 15 years. This June's average high temperature was 38 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below the average maximum for the month.

New Delhi: According to Weather News, this year's summer weather was favourable in numerous states and cities. This also involved the nation's capital, Delhi. However, June was the coolest month in 15 years based on the summertime temperatures. This June's average high temperature was 37 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below the average maximum for the month. Regular rains, an overcast sky, and the early entrance of the Southwest Monsoon were the main causes of this modest maximum increase.

According to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the previous record-low June average maximum temperature was 35 degrees Celsius in the year 2008. According to physicist and IMD regional weather forecasting centre director Kuldeep Srivastava, "this was the coldest June since 2008." The majority of the days in June this year had temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius because of the rain and gloomy skies.

Only five days in June, on June 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14, saw a high temperature of 40 degrees Celsius or above. The monthly lowest temperature in Delhi was 25.9 degrees Celsius on average, which is 1.8 degrees lower than the average of 27.7 degrees. June became the rainiest month since 2017, when 191.9 mm of precipitation was recorded at Safdarjung, the city's record meteorological station.

The monsoon's first day, June 25, saw the maximum amount of rainfall in a single day during this month with 48.3 mm. For the second month in a row, June saw more than 100 mm of rain after May's 111 mm. The most rainy days in June since at least ten years ago were 17 in this year. Kuldeep Srivastava continued, "Two western disturbances affected the region at the beginning of June, bringing rain." Then, Cyclone Biperjoy's leftovers fed moisture, causing rain to fall in the area.
