The CM Bhagwant Mann route diverges from the AAP's! He opposed the UCC, saying that it should not be changed because the nation is like a bouquet of flowers

According to CM Mann, "Our nation is like a bouquet of flowers. Would you want a floral bouquet with just one colour? Before making a judgement regarding its implementation, the BJP, according to him, should consult with all relevant parties.

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, questioned the necessity of the UCC. In light of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, he claimed that the BJP has chosen such an electoral strategy. According to CM Mann, "Our nation is like a bouquet of flowers. Do you want a bouquet of flowers that are all the same colour?

He argued that before deciding whether to adopt the UCC, the BJP should consult with all interested parties and forge a consensus on it. The Aam Aadmi Party, according to CM Mann, opposes changing any community's traditions.

CM Bhagwant Mann claimed that the BJP's purpose is to bring up religion whenever elections are approaching. All religions and their practises, he argued, should be respected. To reach an agreement, everyone must communicate. He claimed that I have no idea why they keep fiddling with these problems. The CM questioned the BJP on whether or not the Constitution has provisions for it. He asserted that the Constitution mandates that a common set of civil rights apply to all citizens if they are socially equal.

With relation to this statement, CM Mann has been under attack from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). Considering that the Aam Aadmi Party has already made clear where it stands on UCC at the national level. Sandeep Pathak, the general secretary of the AAP's organisational wing, has stated on the UCC that while the party supports it in theory, more extensive stakeholder talks should be done in order to establish a consensus.

SAD leader requests AAP to state position on UCC

Daljit S. Cheema, a senior SAD politician, has requested AAP to clarify its position on UCC. According to him, the Aam Aadmi Party is attempting to mislead Punjabis on the UCC problem. Arvind Kejriwal, the party's convenor and Delhi's chief executive, should publish a statement and offer his opinion, according to Cheema.
