Professor was forced to criticise Saurashtra University's vice chancellor, published the poem in a WhatsApp group, and was then suspended

Professor at Saurashtra University Suspended: After the poem went viral, Saurashtra University (SU) sent Professor Manoj Joshi a show-cause notice and requested a response by June 30. According to sources, he claimed he knew nothing about Kavita in his response to the notification. However, after presenting him with the proof, the SU administration sent him a second notice requesting a response within two days. He was ultimately suspended following this on Monday.

Rajkot. On a WhatsApp group, a lecturer from Gujarat's Saurashtra University (SU) allegedly shared a poem that subtly criticised the vice-chancellor in charge. The university administration has since taken strong measures, about a week after posting this poem. The dean of Saurashtra University's Gujarat department was suspended on Monday for 'indiscipline' after sharing this poem on social media. The university's registrar gave instructions to suspend Professor Manoj Joshi on Monday afternoon.

The All India nationwide Educational Association (ABRSM), a nationwide organisation of university professors, claims that Professor Manoj Joshi's suspension came over a week after he allegedly shared a poem in a local WhatsApp group of the organisation. It is said that the poem, which was composed in Gujarati, made reference to the alleged "scams" in SU. Additionally, it allegedly made reference to university mathematics department chair Professor Sameer Vaidya.

However, the poem omitted mentioning the university's vice chancellor, Professor Girish Bhimani. Kavita, though, gives the impression that issues have existed at the university ever since she came over.

As part of the ongoing Rajkot City Police inquiry into the suspected theft of funds by Atmiya University President Tyagavallabh Swamy, Professor Sameer Vaidya's name is also said to have come up. He had gone to the district and sessions court in Rajkot to escape being arrested in this case. But last week, the court had denied their application along with Tyagavallabh Swami. Saurashtra University continues to provide Sameer Vaidya a leave of absence.

The university handed Professor Joshi a show-cause notice after the poem went viral and requested a response by June 30. According to sources, he claimed he knew nothing about Kavita in his response to the notification. However, after presenting him with the proof, the SU administration sent him a second notice requesting a response within two days. He was ultimately suspended on Monday as a result of this.

According to Professor Joshi, the decision to suspend him came at 3:30 PM on Monday. According to this ruling, I was suspended because I had broken SU's code of conduct. Prior to the deadline for responding to the show cause notice expiring, the university suspended him. Therefore, I haven't even

When questioned about his course of action, Professor Joshi replied that he had been in touch with the ABRSM office holders and would be heeding their recommendations. In this case, Professor Bhimani (Girish Bhimani) was attempted to be reached via phone and text message, but no answer could be gained from his end.
