Jamui News: A tribal woman who was selling fruit from a basket while sitting on the ground at Kachari Chowk in Jamui has accused the policeman of acting inappropriately. According to the source, the woman refused to give away free berries, therefore the police officers misbehaved with her.

In reality, an instance of police bullying involving two underprivileged tribal women selling berries had come to light on Friday afternoon near Jamui Court Chowk. The policeman is alleged to have misbehaved with a tribal lady who is selling berries from a basket while sitting on the ground close to Kachari Chowk. According to the source, the woman refused to give away free berries, therefore the police officers misbehaved with her.


The cops misbehaved with the woman when she refused to accept free fruit, scattering the berries in the basket on the ground. As a result, a throng of onlookers gathered. Everyone agreed that it was improper to treat the woman nicely and to throw the berries on the ground. Mahesh Singh, the prisoner's vehicle's driver, is the name of the police constable who has been charged.


In actuality, Sanjhali Marandi and Sarita Soren, two tribal members who had travelled 25 kilometres from the isolated village of Barhat area, were selling berries in the city's court square with their young child when the plainclothes police officer who was operating the prisoner vehicle approached them. He begged the woman for berries in exchange for a commission; when she declined, he threw the woman's basket full of berries on the road while yelling good and bad at her. A throng of onlookers soon gathered, and many of them criticised him for his actions. What was heard as additional police officers were on the scene.


Mahesh Singh, the police car's driver in this instance, claimed that it was difficult for the prisoner car to go to court. Because of this, he refused to sell any berries there. When she objected, she tossed the fruit away and offered him compensation of 400 rupees. According to Head Quarters DSP Abhishek Singh, action would be taken in this case after a report of misbehaving with a tribal woman and hurling berries came to light.
