New Delhi: At its board meeting on Thursday in Durban, the International Cricket Council (ICC) overwhelmingly approved the income distribution scheme. In this, it was determined that the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) would get around 39% of the ICC's yearly revenue. which, in comparison to other nations, is the highest.
How much money the BCCI will make from this approach is not stated in the ICC's media release. But out of the $600 million over the following four years, the Indian board is anticipated to make $230 million yearly.
This total revenue is almost 38.4% more than the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which earned $41 million at 6.89%, and Cricket Australia (Cricket Australia), which received $37.5 million at approximately 6.25%. They are ranked second and third, respectively.
The ICC has also imposed restrictions on the number of international cricket players that teams may deploy in their squads for various leagues, thus in the new competitions, each side will be limited to four foreign players. This is mostly for the T20 leagues that are rapidly taking off and endangering the game's international framework.
