Ashutosh Shekhar, the superintendent of police, stated that an operation was being carried out by the security force in the Kolhan Forest region's Golkar police station area based on intelligence regarding the visit of hardcore Naxalites. The IED bomb, which was detonated in the vicinity of the Tonto police station's town of Patatorb, was intended to harm the security troops. This resulted in injuries to CRPF 197 battalion helpers.




Chaibasa: In West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, near the Tonto police station, Maoists detonated an IED, injuring Chandra Pratap Tiwari, Assistant Commander of CRPF 197. Ashutosh Shekhar, the superintendent of police, made this statement on Monday afternoon.

An IED bomb that had been detonated in the forest near the village of Patatorb, which is near the Tonto police station, was intended to harm the security officers. Chandra Pratap Tiwari, the assistant commander of the CRPF 197 Battalion, was hurt in this.


The Naxalites are looking for a major conspiracy

The cops have removed Chandra Pratap Tiwari for emergency medical attention. Commander Chandra Pratap Tiwari is believed to be in a stable condition. Top Naxalite commanders Bhakpa-Mao, Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angaria, and Ashwin, among others, are allegedly attempting to conduct subversive operations in the Kolhan area, according to Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar.


He added that after learning about it, a combined action team made up of the Chaibasa Police and several security battalions was created and has been conducting ongoing searches since January 11, 2023. This crew has also destroyed many Naxalite camps. Additionally, more than 200 IED explosives and booby trap footprints were found.


The security forces are waging an ongoing operation against the Naxalites, according to the superintendent of police. The Naxalites' cowardly actions are drawing a severe response from the security forces. This region will soon be totally devoid of Naxalites.


In the same week, three CRPF and Cobra Battalion officers were wounded in IED explosions and Naxalite encounters and were transported to Ranchi for proper medical care.
