The Muharram Arrangement Committee of Kalyanpur's 16 nominated members are among the numerous unidentified people against whom the police have filed a FIR. In this respect, Sadar SDPO Rishabh Garg stated that according to the filed case, the police have begun their investigation. In the event that someone is proven guilty, legal action will be taken. The act of altering the national flag is illegal and regarded as treason.




Chainpur (Palamu): During the procession (little outpost) on the 9th day of Muharram on Friday, a case of tampering with the national flag has been revealed in the Kalyanpur village of Chainpur police station area of Palamu.


When the Muslim community in the procession brought up the issue of altering with the original form, Akhada Tajiya, the authorities got busy. Along with other religious flags, the parade carried national flags, but it had been altered from its original shape. During the march, the Ashok Chakra was taken out of the centre of the tricolour banner, and something was inscribed in Arabic or Urdu. The police-administration began acting with activism when a video of such flags being raised went popular on the internet.


FIR against many parties

In this respect, Sadar SDPO Rishabh Garg stated that according to the filed case, the police have begun their investigation. Legal action will be taken against anyone who is determined to be guilty by the investigation. The act of altering the national flag is illegal and regarded as treason.
