The magistrate filed a FIR

On August 10, 2017, the police had filed a FIR in response to Shankar Ajay Prasad's allegation, the local deputised magistrate at the time. The sub-inspector of the police station, Subhash Chandra, was given the task of looking into the paper leak issue. Inspector Subhash handed over responsibility for the case to Ram Kailash Ram after keeping it with him for a few months. Ram Kailash Ram, however, has been demoted by the SP.

The matter was handled by these three DSPs

Following suspension, a DSP level officer was tasked with looking into this issue. Chas' SDPO Bahaman was broken at the moment. On January 29, 2019, SDPO Bamaman assumed control of the inquiry into this matter. He held onto this matter for around 8 months, although throughout that time, his transfer had already been approved.

SDPO Bamaman delegated the task of looking into the situation to SDPO Chas Bhagwan Das before travelling to Garhwa, who added to his post on October 10, 2019. On January 31, 2021, Bhagwan Das announced his retirement.

DSP Bhagwan Das, who for several months shared the investigational duties with him, claimed that the lockdown prevented further inquiry into the crime. Despite working on the inquiry for months, DSP Das was unable to advance it more than two to four steps, and before retiring, he sent the case to another officer to look into.

On February 15, 2021, DSP Poonam Minj, the person in command of Chas SDPO, assumed control of this significant case. Only a few days were DSP Poonam able to keep this issue to herself. In addition to assuming and assigning responsibility, he did nothing else.

Court received a closure report

On March 24, 2021, the fourth DSP SDPO Puruposht Kumar Singh assumed control of the situation. The current SDPO issued a closure report to the court in this case despite making a lot of effort and receiving no information.
