Dumka: Kanwariya, who travelled to worship Basukinath, was shot and killed; the Ganesh gang is suspected

Amarnath Singh, 40, a Kanwariya from Jamshedpur Gaur Basti, Krishna Nagar Mango, was shot and killed by unidentified assailants on Thursday night at about 11.45 p.m. at Basukinath Nandi Chowk, hardly 100 metres from Jarmundi police station area. Amarnath Singh was with his nephew Manish Kumar from his village when the tragedy occurred, and his wife Neha Singh was nearby.
In the market with them were additional family members and four kids.
The scoundrel appeared as a kanwariya
During this time, the unidentified criminal, posing as a kanwariya, pulled a gun from his backpack, fired around six to seven shots by tapping his temple, and then fled.
Multiple police officers, locals, and other people in the area transported him to the hospital when they heard gunfire, where doctor Umakant Mehra verified his demise.
The thief, posing as a kanwariya, carried out the murder by removing a weapon from his backpack and escaping, according to Manish Kumar, the deceased's nephew who was on the scene.
Large police presence arrived at the scene
Many local villagers, including Inspector Dayanand Gandhi Sah, SI Anuj Kumar Yadav, ASI Yogendra Sharma, Ashok Kumar, former Basukinath Nagar Panchayat President Mantu Laha, and vice-chairman Amit Kumar Sah alias Chhotu Sah of Jarmundi police station, arrived at the crime scene after learning about the case. Gang warfare is what caused the event
The tragedy is said to have been caused mostly by gang conflict. The Ganesh gang and the Amarnath gang were at odds with one another. Around Durga Puja, a gang conflict resulted in the death of a member of the Amarnath group. On Thursday, these folks had attended a service at Basukinath. On Friday early in the morning, there was a planned trip to Tarapith.
