Barkatha Deep Boring produces a hot water stream

Barkattha: Around Belkappi's Suryakund Dham, hot water is gushing forth. The issue with this is that hot water is the only thing that comes out of any deep drilling operations. This prevents the grandiose project Har Ghar Nal-Jal Yojana of the Central Government from achieving its goal. In reality, the recipients claim that they do not receive cold water and that their thirst is not satisfied. Asia's Suryakund Dham is a well-known tourist site. A large number of domestic and international tourists swarm here during Makar Sankranti. In addition to this, visitors frequently return here because it is on GT Road. Due to the lack of cold water, tourists are also concerned. The locals frequently curse the local government and its administration over the area's chilly water supply.

Drink some mineral or river water to quench your thirst

As a religious location, this is where weddings also take place. People use mineral or river water to relieve their thirst because there isn't any cold water available. Four years ago, the government had deep digging work done close to the newly built degree college Suryakund Dham to supply water from a distance of around one kilometre from the pipeline to the Suryakund Dham complex for cold water. But eventually, hot water also began to flow from that location.

A well was built on the river's banks in December of the previous fiscal year 2022–2023 with money from the MLA budget. But he was unable to get anything. The 15th Finance Commission completed the motor, pipeline, and other development projects at the request of the local chief Lalita Devi. But even this was ineffective. The water pipeline and tap are worthless in this case due to the large number of toilets.

Dr. SN Sinha saw hot water gushing from the main water source's expanded edge

According to Dr. SN Sinha, the head of Vinobabhave University's geology department, hot water is a result of geothermal activity and the expansion of Suryakund Dham's primary water supply. Nearby fractures allow heated, sulfide-rich subsurface water to get to another water source. Because of this, the water source's stream likewise becomes heated.

Geologists provide solutions for sources of cold water

According to geologist Abhishek Mishra, a temporary solution is possible. With the assistance of government-level geologists, work may be done in that direction by undertaking geophysical and geological surveys. By blocking the Suryakund's primary subterranean water source's edge, Other water supplies must be kept from coming into touch with Suryakund's major subsurface water supply by blocking its edge in the other direction.
