The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has located the individuals who had intended to carry out the vandalism incidents in Bengaluru city, confirmed to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner. Rifles and other items have been found on the five suspects after their detention.




Bengaluru: Authorities said on Wednesday that the Bengaluru Police had detained five persons for planning to engage in "anti-social" activities within the city. The five accused have been charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), according to Bengaluru Police. B. Dayanand, the commissioner of the Bangalore City Police, stated, "We have made these arrests based on particular leads and information. They desired to engage in antisocial behaviour in Bengaluru. The five suspects were first detained in 2017 and spent 18 months in prison for a murder case before being freed in 2019.


"In the initial examination it has been made found that they wanted to carried down the terrorist incident in Bengaluru," the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner stated. Apparently, two of them have radicalised. The five suspects who were detained, according to the police official, were also charged with murder in 2017 and received radicalization from a man named Nazir when they were detained in Bengaluru Central Jail. In connection with the 2008 Bangalore serial bombings case, Nazir, who has ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba, is detained at Bangalore Central Jail. According to Police Commissioner B. Dayanand, the five accused were found to have seven firearms, multiple live rounds, a walkie-talkie, and other stuff.


The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has been successful in finding individuals who plotted to carry out the vandalism crimes in Bengaluru city, according to the police commissioner of Bengaluru. Weapons and other items have been found on the five suspects after their detention. Six suspects were identified in all, one of them has vanished. The other 5 had received these weapons from him so they could engage in nefarious acts in the city. Suhail, Umar, Zahid, Mudasir, and Faisal, the five detained suspects, are all between the ages of 25 and 35 and were utilising digital payment apps to transfer money.


B. Dayanand, the city police commissioner, declared: "A case has been filed under UAPA against everybody. They have all already engaged in criminal activity, and charges have been filed against them. They were engaging in minor offences. All of them live in Bangalore's RT Nagar neighbourhood. The guy aiding them from overseas was supplying money and weapons. Basavaraj Bommai, a BJP politician and former chief minister of Karnataka, responded to the arrest by calling it a "big conspiracy" and urging a national investigation. demanded that the NIA be turned over.
