In the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, Dilip Kumar Ravidas, Sarpanch of Lupung Panchayat, has played a key role in organising regional water conservation initiatives. He started a soakpit project, which prevents water logging by allowing effluent to seep into the earth.
The program's awareness-raising Prasason Ki Baat by Dilip Kumar Ravidas was also discussed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ravidas has become a great hero and an inspiration to many because of his commitment to and contribution to water conservation.
