OMG: Learn about the history of Ranchi's Pond," where worshippers bravely take a bath

News from Ranchi There are numerous different varieties of snakes there, according to Dinesh Kumar, a Forest Department employee in Doranda, Ranchi. Similarly to Shesh, Vasuki, Kambal, and Karkotak. We have been there and looked before, but no risk was seen.

Ranchi. It is stated that snakes and snakes cannot coexist in an area where Mahadev exists. Mahadev wears the snake around his neck because he does so. Because of this, Hinduism regards the appearance of the serpent god as both extremely fortunate and unusual. It is nothing short of a miracle for the populace, especially if it is observed close to the Mahadev temple.

You'll be shocked to learn that there is a pond like this on a Ranchi mountain where 15 to 20 snakes live. It also goes by the name Nag Talab as a result.

According to Rudeshwar, a trustee for the temple, this pond dates back to ancient times. How old it will be is hard to predict. But, its depth is so great that nobody has yet been able to gauge it. Several have attempted to quantify it but have failed. Its unique feature is that snakes reside there. even though 20 snakes had been sighted. There could, however, be at least 30 to 40 snakes present.

Nobody is bitten by snakes.

Even though there are a lot of cobras, according to Rudreshwar, nobody has ever been bitten by one. Due to the presence of the Mahadev Swambhu and the nearby large temple, worshippers frequently visit this location. They visit the temple or occasionally take a bath in this pond's water after washing their hands and feet, yet nobody has ever been harmed by a snake up until this point.

It is stated that Valmiki ji performed penance while sitting on this mountain and had this pond built there with the help of his penance, as Rudeshwar relates. They used the water from this pond to complete their everyday tasks.

The pond is home to eight different kinds of snakes, including the Vasuki, Takshak, Kulak, Karkotak, Padma, Shankh, Chud, Mahapadma, and Dhananjay.

I've been living in this pond for many years, said Pradeep, who arrived to take a bath in the body of water. Yet up until this point, no snake has hurt me. Many individuals attempted to kill the snake at the same time, but many suffered terrible accidents as a result. Since then, the snake is revered and is never made fun of here.

There are numerous varieties of cobra snakes to be found there, according to Dinesh Kumar, a forest department officer in Doranda, Ranchi. Similarly to Shesh, Vasuki, Kambal, and Karkotak. We have been there and looked before, but no risk was seen. Snakes can only be found mostly in rock tunnels. But nobody has ever been harmed by the snake, and the locals have never complained. We will absolutely take notice of any complaints of this nature in the future.
