Will give proof...: Sanjay Raut on EC's ₹2000 crore deal to buy Shiv Sena's election symbol

We have approached SC against EC. I stand by my statement, Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut

Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction leader Sanjay Raut has refused to withdraw his corruption charges against the Election Commission in connection with the sale of the "bow and arrow" symbol for ₹2000 crore. He said he stood by his statement and would give evidence at an appropriate time.

"We have approached the Supreme Court against the Election Commission. I stand by my statement that there was a ₹2000 crore deal by which the Shinde faction got the party name and symbol," Raut said, as reported by news agency ANI. "

He said, "What is the need to say all this in the Supreme Court petition, I am speaking, right? We will present evidence in this regard when the appropriate time comes."

Raut also rejected the complaint filed against him in Nashik over his remarks against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and said he would not be intimidated by such complaints. He said, 'I have heard that a complaint has been filed regarding this statement. Even if one lakh such complaints are filed, Sanjay Raut will not be afraid.

Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with MLAs and leaders of his faction at the Shiv Sena Bhawan in Mumbai amid cheers and slogans from his supporters.

Notably, both the Shiv Sena factions (Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray) have been fighting for the party's bow and arrow symbol since Shinde's (current Maharashtra Chief Minister) rebellion against Thackeray last year.

While the Shinde faction welcomed the decision to be recognized as the real Shiv Sena, the Thackeray faction moved the Supreme Court against the Election Commission's decision to allot the name "Shiv Sena" and the "bow and arrow" symbol to the Shinde faction.

Thackeray faction leader Anil Desai informed, "We have gone (to the Supreme Court) against the decision of the Election Commission. It was mentioned before the Supreme Court today and the court will tell when it is going to be taken up for hearing." . Maybe it will be taken." Tomorrow. The decision of the Election Commission was one-sided.
