The company's CEO and MD Praveer Sinha said Tata Power aims to have its solar cell and module facility operational in Tamil Nadu by the end of December this year.
In July 2022, Tata Power entered into an agreement with the Tamil Nadu government to invest ₹3,000 crore to set up a new facility to manufacture solar cells and modules in the state's Tirunelveli district.
The construction work is going on in full swing. Equipment to install the unit has already been ordered. Sinha informed that the target is to commission the plant by the end of December this year.

"We expect the module plant to be ready by August-September and roll out the modules after September. We are in a very advanced stage of implementing the cell line, which should be ready by the end of this year," he said. Will be ready."
