Passengers arriving in India from or via Singapore will not be required to have a negative report from pre-departure COVID-19 test nor upload a self-health declaration on the Air Suvidha portal with effect from 11 am on February 13.
The health ministry has revised travel guidelines after six places (including Singapore) saw a "sustained and significant decline in the trajectory of Covid-19 cases" over the last four weeks, tweeted the Indian High Commission in Singapore.

The first set of COVID-19 travel recommendations issued by India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in January states that all foreign nationals arriving from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Japan must now submit a negative RT-PCR test. Must report the test done 72 hours prior to departure.
The January release said pre-departure RT-PCR testing is a requirement 72 hours before boarding a flight for all passengers arriving from these six COVID-19 high-risk countries. For all entry, all Indian airports are required to comply with this law, which is true for all passengers passing through these six countries, regardless of where they are from.
Lucknow's Chief Medical Officer had earlier said that delegates, investors and participants coming to India to attend the two international events - Global Investors Summit and G20 meeting will undergo RT-PCR Covid test. Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 is scheduled from 10-12 February 2023 and PM Modi will visit Lucknow to inaugurate the event.
Keeping in mind the events to be held here, CMO, Manoj Agarwal said, “We have set up booths running 24×7 for RT-PCR in the district including airports. Also, our mobile teams have been deployed to conduct Covid Testing of delegates and the open COVID-testing booth are open to all attending the events."
As per the January statement, random post-arrival testing of 2% of passengers will continue, regardless of point of departure. Foreign travelers arriving in India have tested positive for COVID-19.
