But, even in this scenario, you will receive a refund for the unused tickets (Indian Railways refund rule). Indian Railways provided this information and stated that even if you decide to cancel your train ticket after the chart has been created, you are still eligible for a refund.

IRCTC posted a video to its Twitter account stating that Indian Railways offers refunds for tickets that are cancelled before being fully or partially used. According to railroad regulations, you must submit the Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) for this.

• To get started, go to IRCTC's official website at www.irctc.co.in.

• Now heading to the home page and click on My Account

• Choose My transaction from the drop-down menu by clicking it now.

• By choosing one of the choices under the File TDR option, you can TDR the file here.

• The details of the individual whose name the ticket is booked are now visible.

• Fill in your PNR number, train number, captcha, and cancellation policy box here.

• At this point, you press the submit button.

• After that, an OTP will be sent to the phone number you provided on the form when making the reservation.

• Click submit after entering the OTP here.

• Check the PNR information, then select Cancel Ticket.

• On this screen, you can see the reimbursement amount.

• You will receive a confirmation message with PNR and refund information on the phone number provided in the booking form.
