Amritpal Singh, chief of pro-Khalistan organization 'Waris Punjab Day', staged a massive protest in front of Ajnala police station in Amritsar, after which his aide Lovepreet Toofan has now been released from jail. Armed with swords and guns, the supporters broke the police barricades outside the Ajnala police station.

Reacting to the attack on the police station, actress Kangana Ranaut tweeted that whatever is happening in Punjab, she had predicted it two years back.

In a tweet on February 24, Kangana wrote, “Whatever is happening in Punjab I had predicted two years ago, many cases were registered against me, arrest warrant was issued against me, my car was seized in Punjab There was an attack, but that is not what I said, now the time has come that non-Khalistani Sikhs need to clarify their position and intentions."

Recalling a previous incident that happened in December 2021, when his car was attacked and stopped by a group of people in Kiratpur Sahib, Punjab. “Throughout the centuries it was scattered and integrated several times, no one can deny the grand Sikh Empire under the reins of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji, but how does it stand now as another king (king of democracy era) called Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel rejoined," he wrote.

“This and now there are many small states in which the CM was the king like in olden days and a prime minister whom we used to call emperor in those times. Anyone challenging it and presenting fragmented information is molesting innocent people... #Khalistan exists only in their mind."

Amrit Pal has given an open challenge to the country that if anyone is ready to have an intellectual discussion with him, he can justify the demand for Khalistan. If the Khalistanis don't beat/attack or shoot me, I am ready, he concluded.
