because the travel time from the station to the airport will only be 15 minutes. There are currently trials underway to increase the Metro's Airport Express Line speed to 120 kmph. Thousands of travellers from India and other countries will be able to enjoy riding in Delhi's fastest-running metro after this facility is implemented.

Trials to increase the speed of metro trains within a 22 km radius began last year. The Delhi Metro Rail Safety Commissioner will now inspect the system before approving any speed increases. From Dwarka Sector 25 to the India International Convention Center, this line is being extended.

80 to 85 mph at the moment


The metro currently travels along this line at a speed of 80–85 kmph. however, when travelling at 120 km/h. If it is made hourly, it will only take 15 minutes to get from New Delhi Railway Station to Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Dwarka Sector 25 (IICC) is a metro station located underground. It is an extension of the Airport Express line, which connects Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport with Dwarka Sector 21 and is currently in use. The length of the New Delhi to Dwarka Sector-25 (IICC) Airport Express Line corridor will increase to 24.70 km with the completion of this section.

At the IICC station, these amenities will be available.

For easy passenger movement, the station will have 14 escalators, 5 lifts, and 5 entry/exit points with stairs. The new station will have full height platform screen doors, just like the other stations on the Airport Express Line do.

The speed of the metro will be increased here in stages, according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, who are installing high frequency tension clamps on the track of this corridor and constantly outfitting it with speed monitoring equipment. On the Airport Express Line, there are 6 metro stations: New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Aerocity, Airport Terminal 3, and Dwarka Sector-21.
