Indore to host first agriculture delegation meeting of Agriculture Working Group under India's G20 Presidency

New Delhi: A three-day meeting of G20 agriculture representatives begins in Indore from Monday, where around a hundred delegates are expected to participate, said an official statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Indore will host the first Agriculture Representatives Meeting (ADM) of the Agriculture Working Group under India's G20 Presidency. Representatives will be from G20 member states, guest countries and international organizations.

On the first day of the three-day meeting, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate an exhibition. Millets and its value added food products as well as animal husbandry and fisheries stalls will be the major attractions of the exhibition.

During the meeting, two side programs have been scheduled on the first day to discuss agriculture related matters. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will attend the program on the second day.

The ministry said the Agriculture Working Group will discuss its deliverables on the third day.
