Entrepreneur Asks Zero Money, Then What Sharks Do Will Surprise You

An entrepreneur named Gursaurabh Singh came up with a unique pitch on Shark Tank India Season 2 as he did not ask for any money from the sharks. Instead, they asked him for 100 hours of participation.

Singh is the founder of Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit, which can upgrade over eight crore bicycles across India to a motor and battery powered electric bicycle "within minutes". Continually increasing speed, power and range in an "indigenous" cycle, Singh claims. With this modification a normal bicycle can be converted into an electric bicycle, increasing its speed and driving comfort.

Singh revealed on the show that Lenskart founder Piyush Bansal and boAt founder Aman Gupta messaged him on LinkedIn. But, he could not reply to them as he was inundated with over 800 messages after he published a video featuring his latest innovation.

When Singh submitted his request for "100 hours for 0.5% equity", that puzzled the sharks. When Anupam questioned about the purpose of seeking 100 hours of participation from the pitcher, Singh replied that he sought guidance on the delivery aspect.

Singh showed a demonstration of the product to show that the kit is not affected by fire or water. When Aman Gupra asked, "Are you ready?", he replied, "I was born ready." And, he sets the kit on fire, but the kit is not harmed.

Singh further stressed that it takes just 20 minutes to put the kit back on the cycle. When a user is connected to the App, the App may provide important information such as GPS location and more. The unique selling point of the kit is that its battery can be recharged by pedaling, meaning the battery will continue to work as long as the cycle is pedalled.
