The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has informed about possible power cuts in the city for the month of February. According to Bescom, there will be power cut for 3 days from today i.e. 7-9 February.
There will be power cut as Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KTPCL) will carry out periodic maintenance works, replacement of existing transformers, heightening and expansion of existing transformer plinth, cable laying, glanding, termination, testing and commissioning of yard side, relay testing. SAS integration of line devices and charging.
It is not important that KTPCL is the sole distributor of electricity for Karnataka. According to BESCOM, power cuts will be done between 10 am and 4 pm, however, some people may see power cuts till 5 pm.

ISRO Layout, ISRO Layout Industrial Area, Kumaraswamy Layout, Vittal Nagar, Vikram Nagar, Eliyaz Nagar, Yelachenahalli and surrounding areas, Weavers Colony, Gotigere, Mantapa, Purvankara, AMC College, Ragihalli, Kasaraguppe, National Park, Basavanapura, Mylasandra, Byatarayandoddi , Lakshmipura, Sivanahalli and surrounding areas. According to BESCOM, alternate supply has been made in some areas while load shedding may not take place in some.
