According to SAFAR, the overall AQI in the national capital is currently in the 'very poor' category at 311. Noida recorded an AQI of 330, while Gurugram recorded an AQI of 309.

Officials told ANI that the Indian Railways has informed on January 30 that 13 trains are running late due to low visibility and rain.

As per the earlier weather alert, patch of fresh clouds coming over Delhi was likely to cause light to moderate rainfall in the city. The IMD has also predicted light to moderate rain over Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan today.

According to IndiaMetSky Weather data, the moisture is freezing on the mountain peaks of Aravalli and rising immediately.

"The long active tail of the Western Disturbance is loaded with thunderstorms. Heavy moisture intrusion, convergence and interesting topology from both the oceans is helping this series of long thunderstorms. The moisture is hitting the mountain peaks of Aravallis and it rises immediately The chain extends from South Rajasthan - Delhi," tweeted Indiamate Sky Weather.

In an update on the flight status, Srinagar Airport Director Kuldeep Singh Rishi told ANI that all flights are delayed due to continuous snowfall. “Our visibility is only 200 meters and it is snowing continuously. We're clearing the snow together. All flights delayed. Please check your flight status with your airlines before arriving at the airport to avoid inconvenience and avoid overcrowding."

Hail has damaged crops in Rajasthan's Udaipur. Earlier on Sunday, an official of the Meteorological Department told PTI that due to the active Western Disturbance, 10 to 30 mm of rain was recorded in parts of Rajasthan in the last 24 hours, which led to a slight drop in the temperature. Sahada in Bhilwara, Railmagara in Rajsamand, Dabok in Udaipur, Bhima in Rajsamand received 30 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. Several other places across the state recorded 10 to 20 mm of rainfall during the same period.

Meanwhile, in view of the severe cold in Udaipur, all the classes up to class 5 in all the recognized schools of Udaipur will remain suspended till January 30-31.
