Security breach in Kashmir? Big controversy over Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir

Rahul Gandhi had to go to the next destination with a bullet proof car.

On 27 January, as the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi claimed that his security had been compromised, requiring him to take a bullet-proof car to the next destination, not the one that km to where he originally intended to walk on the highway. South Kashmir Qazigund.

A top police officer met Gandhi after the Congress elected to stop its march for the day. He was later shifted to a bulletproof car along with former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who joined the yatra at Qazigund.

Gandhi claimed that due to the complete breakdown in the police organization, the police officers responsible for controlling the crowd and holding the rope were completely absent. The Congress leader said he had to stop the yatra for the day as his security personnel were reluctant to let him continue. According to the Wayanad MP, it is important that the police control the crowd so that the yatra can continue.

Omar said he was a "witness" to what Raga was claiming. 11km walk but unfortunately had to cancel it," the leader tweeted.

I am a witness to this. The outer cordon of cordon created by J&K Police disappeared within minutes of @RahulGandhi's walk. We had just arrived from Jammu to Kashmir and were looking forward to the 11km walk but unfortunately it had to be cancelled.

However, the claims of inadequate security were denied by the J&K Police. J&K Police said that only those people were allowed inside the yatra route who were authorized by the organizers and were frisked by the crowd. He claimed that the organizers and managers did not disclose about the large group from Banihal which reached near the starting point and joined the yatra.
