PM Modi to address NCC PM rally in Delhi today

 


This year NCC is celebrating its 75th year of establishment. During the event, the Prime Minister will release a special Day Cover and a specially minted commemorative coin of ₹75/- denomination to commemorate 75 successful years of NCC.

The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the annual NCC PM rally on January 28, 2023 at around 5:45 pm at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi.

NCC is celebrating its 75th year of establishment this year.

"During the event, the Prime Minister will release a special day cover and a commemorative specially minted coin of ₹75/- denomination to commemorate 75 successful years of NCC," the PMO said.



The rally will be organized as a mixed day and night event and will also include a cultural program on the theme 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'.

In the true Indian spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, 196 officers and cadets from 19 foreign countries have been invited to participate in the celebrations.


NCC is a youth wing of the Armed Forces of India and is open to students of all schools and colleges on a voluntary basis.

The organization consists of Army, Air Force and Navy wings, and provides cadets with basic military training in small arms and drills. The NCC was formed under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948 and is currently headed by Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi will address a function organized to mark the 1111th 'Avataran Mahotsav' of Lord Shri Devnarayan Ji in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district at around 11:30 am on Saturday.

According to the PMO, PM Modi will be the chief guest during the program. Lord Shri Devnarayan Ji is worshiped by the people of Rajasthan, and his followers are spread across the country. He is especially honored for his works for public service.
