Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant Ambani recently got engaged to his childhood friend Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.

Naturally, the glitzy engagement filled with Bollywood stars, sports personalities and big industrialists made headlines.

The youngest scion Anant Ambani wore a blue kurta with an embroidered jacket for his engagement. However, Anant's brooch has caught everyone's attention on social media. According to a report in The Times of India, Mukesh Ambani's son wore a Panthere de Cartier brooch made of platinum/gold, studded with diamonds, and a rosette made of cabochon-cut onyx.

The nose of the brooch consists of a black onyx and the panther's eyes are made of pear-shaped emeralds.

Interestingly, a brooch can also be used as a multi-purpose piece of jewellery. The head may rotate and the limbs may turn into pendants or rings or earrings.

The Duchess of Windsor had a clip brooch ordered in 1949 and set in platinum, white gold, single-cut diamonds, two pear-shaped yellow diamonds, amethyst cabochons and a 152.35-carat Kashmir sapphire cabochon.

Heritage consultant Deepthi Sasidharan shared details about the priceless brooch on Instagram.
