Providing the update on its Twitter handle, Vistara Airlines wrote, "#TravelUpdate: Heavy traffic congestion and slow movement of vehicles is expected on the way to Mumbai airport today. Customers traveling are advised to allow ample time for their travel to the airport. Thanks".

Requesting passengers to reach the airport at least 3 days prior to flight departure, Akasa Airlines wrote on Twitter, “#TravelUpdate Due to the possibility of heavy traffic en route to Mumbai airport on 19 Jan 2023, we recommend That you plan extra time to reach. airport at least 3 hours before flight departure."

The Mumbai airport was in the news on January 18 after Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was awarded the Best Sustainability Award at the 14th International Conference cum Awards for Civil Aviation.

Sharing the news on Twitter, CSMA wrote, "We at Mumbai Airport are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious 'Best Sustainability Award' at the 14th International Conference cum Awards for Civil Aviation "

It added, "The award was presented by Shri @JM_Scindia, Hon'ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Arun Bansal, CEO, Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. The award is a recognition of our eco-conscious efforts to achieve net zero emissions." Testament. And create a greener tomorrow."

The Ministry of Civil Aviation had earlier announced that it will provide real-time information on waiting times at various touch points such as airport entry and security gates on its social media platforms and on signboards in terminal buildings.
