Fund managers cite Page Industries' listing as a lesson for IPO investors

The IPO market is going to be one of the most interesting ones to watch in 2023, according to Radhika Gupta, managing director and chief executive officer of Edelweiss Asset Management, as she believes good companies tend to IPO. An event in their life cycle, and not an end game.


Gupta said, "The IPO market is going to be one of the most interesting ones to watch in 2023. Do we learn the hard lessons of 2021 and 2022, or still continue to dance with the devil?" A series of tweets.


Citing Page Industries' IPO as an example, he said, "Case and my favorite: Page Industries which had a disastrous listing and start in 2007 but became a real money maker. And when the IPO specifically When we get too hot in the infra space, it fares poorly in a bull market."
