Fog Alert! Trains running late in Northern Railway; flight operations normal

 




• Fog has reduced visibility across North India. Dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions are very likely to continue over northwest India during the next three-four days, the IMD said in a statement.

As per information shared by CPRO Northern Railway, 12 trains are running late and 2 trains have been rescheduled in Northern Railway zone amid fog.

Due to fog, the visibility has reduced in entire North India. Dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions are very likely to continue over northwest India during the next three-four days, the IMD said in a statement.

It said, "Cold wave conditions are very likely to continue over northwest India during next three days and thereafter reduce in intensity."

As per the latest updates, Delhi recorded the lowest temperature of 3 degree Celsius this season as recorded by Safdarjung.

The minimum temperature in the national capital dropped to 4.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Delhi-NCR for the next two days. The IMD uses four color codes for weather warnings - green (no action required), yellow (watch and stay updated), orange (be prepared) and red (take action).

The minimum temperature at Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's main meteorological station, fell to 4.4 degrees Celsius, down from 8.5 degrees a day earlier.
