• Magenta Line Update: Delay in services between Kalindi Kunj and Okhla Bird Sanctuary. Normal service on all other lines, DMRC tweeted in the morning.

The DMRC on Wednesday said services were delayed in a part of the Magenta Line corridor of the Delhi Metro.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation tweeted to alert commuters.

It tweeted in the morning, "Magenta Line Update Services delayed between Kalindi Kunj and Okhla Bird Sanctuary. Normal service on all other lines."

“Trains are running at restricted speed between Kalindi Kunj and Okhla Bird Sanctuary on Magenta Line as signaling cables were damaged due to cable theft attempt. Restoration work will be possible only after operating hours. Sorry for the inconvenience," DMRC said in a tweet.

Sources said the delay could be due to some technical issues.

Earlier on January 9, a section of Delhi Metro's Pink Line was delayed by about 40 minutes due to technical reasons, officials said.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) also took to Twitter to alert commuters.

It tweeted around 7.45 pm, "Pink Line update delay in services from Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake to East Vinod Nagar-Mayur Vihar II. Normal service on all other lines."

In another tweet, the DMRC said, "Restoration work is in progress and all efforts are being made to repair the affected section at the earliest."
