The National Center for Seismology (NCS) on January 22 said that a mild earthquake of magnitude 3.8 has occurred in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

According to NCS data, the earthquake occurred 23 km north-west of Pithoragarh at around 5:58 pm

The NCS said that the depth of the earthquake was 10 km.
